Coming up on Saturday, September 11th, the curtains will rise for The Diary of 9/11, featuring performer Lady Lights. This off-Broadway, one-woman 9/11 remembrance event takes audience members through an artistic interpretation of the sacrifice and strength displayed by both individuals and our nation on 9/11. A dedication to the police, firefighters, victims and their families, this highly anticipated performance offers a way for the public to honor the heroes and victims of 9/11 in powerful tribute.
Summer Powell, aka Lady Lights, portrays eight unique characters during the two-hour theater event. Through these eight characters, Powell depicts the events of September 11th through a myriad of perspectives and perceptions.
"My goal for The Diary of 9/11 is to tell the story of that fateful day, while weaving in a significance and a perspective that was not available in the moment of tragedy, but that has become unveiled through the passage of time," says Summer Powell.
The performance will be held at the majestic Millennium Hudson Theater located at 145 W. 44th St, New York, NY 10036. The performance of The Diary of 9/11 is a one-day-only event to be held on Saturday, September 11th. For more information and to purchase tickets visit http://thediaryof911.
